Are Telomeres The Key?
At the end of each DNA strand in every cell in your body, there's a little cap. It's called a 'telomere', and each time the cell divides, the telomere gets shorter. Eventually, there's no teleomere left and the two strands of DNA begin to unravel.
Preserving and lengthening that telomere might just be the key to longer life.
HRT Study Flawed
Many of my patients have heard news reports over the last few years about risks identified in a very large study of HRT called "WHI". The identified risks are so serious that women were urged to rush to their doctors who told them to discontinue their treatment immediately.
The problem is the WHI study is deeply flawed, and the resulting hysteria may be very much misguided.
